Your organizational, communication and relationship skills, coupled with your pragmatic and creative approach to identifying evidence and raising awareness to further support the health care system will be key to your success.
The Position:

  • Conduct jurisdictional scans, analyses and apply findings to inform the Ontario context
  • Prepare research briefs, policy options papers and presentations
  • Develop resources and educational materials to benefit member hospitals
  • Work closely with the OHA’s broader Research and Analysis team to leverage data to further inform evidence-based advocacy and policy development.
  • Collaborate with teams across the OHA and engage with members and health system stakeholders, as required.
The Candidate
  • The ideal candidate possesses a Master’s degree or Doctorate with experience in health services research, numerous methodological approaches (e.g., knowledge synthesis, program evaluation, semi-structured interviews and analyses) and an understanding of the health care system.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong research and analysis skills, and proven project management experience.
  • Working in a team environment, the Research Advisor will be a highly motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is able to build successful working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and enjoys combining research with practice.
The ideal candidate is dynamic, positive, collaborative, persuasive, resilient, driven and results-oriented and displays the values of Humility, Discovery, and Passion.
