Position overview: Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating client care, educating clients and the public about various health conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to clients and their Families. As an RN at PCHC it will be important to have the knowledge of and ability to provide flexible models of engagement, reporting and accountability with Indigenous Peoples. |

Key Responsibilities: · Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, and evaluate client care · Assess clients to identify appropriate nursing interventions · Record client medical histories and symptoms into an EMR |
· Maintain principles of data sovereignty and Indigenous Peoples' right to ownership over their data. · Counsel clients and their families on health-related issues |

Qualifications: · Completion of a university, college or other approved registered nursing program is required · Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. · Minimum of 5 years of experience as a registered nurse · Knowledge of primary health care and the social determinants of health · Experience working with a diverse, multicultural population and specifically of the Indigenous community is an asset. |
