Overview:
Notre-Dame Hospital in Hearst, Ontario, is seeking a dynamic, benevolent and visionary leader for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the hospital, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, and fostering a culture of excellence, under the guidance of the Board of directors.
Responsibilities:
· Provide visionary leadership to guide the hospital in achieving its mission and goals.
· Collaborate with the board of directors, medical staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement the strategic plan.
· Lead and inspire a diverse team of healthcare professionals, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
· Ensure efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
· Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and healthcare organizations.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
· Ensure the optimal use of human, financial and material resources.
· Exercise immediate and assertive action when addressing sensitive matters, ensuring decisions are made promptly, appropriately, and in alignment with organizational policies.
· Demonstrate sound business judgment in all situations, ensuring decisions prioritize safety, professionalism, fiscal responsibility, and ethical standards.
Required Profile :
· First cycle university degree in business administration or commerce or related field.
· At least five years' experience in a senior executive role
· Experience within the healthcare industry is considered an asset.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Very strong written and spoken communication ability in French and English
· Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital is a modern, 44-bed hospital, fully accredited, that provides both inpatient and outpatient care to the citizens of Hearst and surrounding areas. Its referral population of some 11,500 includes people living 50 kilometers to the east, 130 kilometers to the west on the Highway 11 corridor, 135 kilometers southwest to the municipality of Hornepayne, 80 kilometers to the north and 80 kilometers to the south. The Hospital is also the service facility for the First Nation Reserve at Constance Lake (32 kilometers to the northwest).
Adjacent to the Hospital, there is a medical center which accommodates seven of the eight active staff medical practitioners in the premises of the Nord-Aski Family Health Services. Located also at the medical clinic are the Aging at Home Program, the Home and Community Care (HCC), the Midwife, the Nord-Aski Diabetes Centre, Addiction Services as well as two apartments.
A new replacement 67-bed nursing home, Foyer des Pionniers, owned by the Municipality of Hearst was completed wall to wall with the hospital in January 2004.
